Smalltown Poets Christmas album

As Christmas approaches, I'm always looking for great new Christmas music to add to my collection. I always like to encourage you to support GOOD Christian music (the operative word there is "good"). This year I was surprised to see a tweet from Tim Challies about the new Smalltown Poets Christmas album. I have known the "Poets" for a very long time. I was introduced to them as the band Villanelle back in the mid-90s and served alongside them in a variety of ministry events since then. I love their music and their hearts for ministry. They definitely qualify as "good" Christian music!

I found the album here and literally cannot stop listening to it! The album has become the 2011 Christmas music pick for me and i hope for you as well. If you happen to be in a location near to one of their Christmas tour stops, I encourage you to consider supporting their live show as well. If you see them, tell them Andy Savage says, "Hi."

My favorite tracks are...

1. In The First Light
2. O Come O Come Emmanuel
3. St. Nick is Alright
4. O Little Town of Bethlehem

I know that's almost half the record, but I'm serious, this is a very good record!

Thanks, "Poets," for more great music and for making my Christmas season a little more merry!

Definitely "stuff I like."
